Can I create a client chart myself to send intake forms before CCS sets it up?
Please do not independently create any charts for any clients you intend to bill under CCS at any point in time, and allow our benefits team to set them up properly for insurance billing.
The setup of a client chart in Simple Practice is the "foundation" for every claim we submit. If a chart isn't configured correctly from the start, your sessions may never reach our billing team. To ensure you get paid accurately and on time, please follow these guidelines:

No Manual Chart Creation: Do not independently create charts for clients you plan to bill through CCS. Our benefits team must set these up to ensure accurate billing.

Transitioning Self-Pay Clients: If you created a chart for an existing private-pay client that gains insurance, follow these steps:

Submit a Benefit Verification Form.

Select "Existing Client with New Insurance"

Add a note that a Self-Pay chart already exists and if you'd like any past sessions to be billed under the insurance plan.

Creating your own charts often leads to duplicate charts. If you log a session in a chart that isn't synced with our billing system, the claim remains "invisible" to CCS, resulting in unpaid sessions and administrative delays.
