Why Claim Timelines Vary

It is common to see "gaps" in your payment report even if you saw a client weekly. This rarely indicates an error; rather, it reflects the internal mechanics of insurance adjudication and CCS payroll cycles.

  • Insurance Batching: Payers often process claims in "batches" rather than chronological order. A session from Tuesday might process faster than one from the previous Friday.

  • Payroll Cutoffs: To ensure everyone is paid by the 15th and 30th/31st, CCS has specific data "cutoff" times. If a claim pays out from insurance ten minutes after the cutoff, it will simply roll over to the next report.

  • Adjudication Speed: Some claims require a "manual review" by the insurer, which can add a few days to the timeline compared to "auto-adjudicated" claims.
