How do I log a session if I'm unsure if it's in-person or telehealth?
To avoid logging errors, do not add appointments to the CCS Simple Practice calendar until you have confirmed whether the session is in-person or virtual.
When logging virtual services, please change the Location to Video Office and add the GT modifier to the first modifier box (under the CPT code) before the session starts.
If you find you must add an appointment to the calendar before the format is confirmed, please be extra diligent about updating the details before the session ends.
Why this matters: Our system is set to automatically push claims to the billing queue the moment a session concludes. Updating the Location and GT modifier before the time is up ensures the claim is processed accurately and prevents any billing headaches later on!
