I changed my name. How do I update it with CCS?

The primary goal during a name change is to ensure claims continue to pay out without rejection. Because insurance systems rely on matching data, updating your name in this specific order is critical for credentialing continuity:

  1. Social Security Number (SSN) - Social Security Administration

  2. State Driver's License

  3. State Professional License (ie. LCSW, LPC, etc.) 

  4. National Provider Identifier (NPI) - NPPES Registry

  5. CAQH - CAQH Provider Data Portal

Once you've updated the items above, notify CCS by emailing credentialing@collectivecounselingsolutions.com and our team will initiate a name change request with each insurance you are paneled with.

Once the insurance company(s) confirm, we will update your Simple Practice to match and notify you.

Please Note: Skipping steps or changing your name in Simple Practice before insurance has processed the update can lead to immediate claim denials.
