What is the difference between the Payroll Portal and Payment Reports?
TLDR: If you are looking for a breakdown of why your check is a certain amount, check your email for the Payment Report. If you need a copy of your pay stub or your 1099, log into the Payroll Portal.
1. The Payroll Portal
The Payroll Portal is a secure online platform provided by APlus Payroll and is used for accessing your historical pay records and essential tax documentation, as well as housing your direct deposit information.
-
Tax Forms: This is where you download your annual 1099-NEC.
-
Pay Stubs: Access official statements showing your total earnings and any deductions.
-
Direct Deposit: View or update your bank routing and account numbers.
-
Schedule: We process payments twice a month. Deposits occur on the 15th and the last day of the month (or the Friday prior if those dates fall on a weekend/holiday).

2. Emailed Payment Reports
Payment Reports are not in the Payroll Portal. Instead, these are delivered directly to your email inbox a few days after each deposit. These provide the "clinical granular detail."
-
Transparency: See exactly which client sessions were paid in that specific cycle.
-
Claim Breakdown: View the insurance rate, the client cost-share, and the final payout for every individual claim.
-
Reconciliation: Use this report to match your Simple Practice calendar to your actual bank deposit.
