Should I use the CCS Simple Practice account as my main EHR?

You must use the CCS Simple Practice account for CCS insurance claims. Here’s what to consider if you’re thinking about using it for your entire practice.

  1. What kind of Simple Practice account does CCS provide?
  2. Can I use my Simple Practice account with CCS to send consent documents and questionnaires?
    • Yes! Email support@collectivecounselingsolutions.com about the guidelines and requirements for consent documents and questionnaires, and the Support team will assist you in getting them added to Simple Practice.
  3. What are the limitations of using my CCS Simple Practice account as my primary EHR?
Unfortunately, due to limited permissions on Simple Practice, CCS is unable to grant clinicians access to see any of the following:

    • You are not able to upload and edit your consent documents or intake questionnaires directly.
    • You are not able to see billing information or claim statuses within Simple Practice. We give you that information bi-weekly on your payment reports.
    • You are not able to collect any payments from clients for private pay sessions, copays, or deductibles. Click here to learn more about the options for collecting payment.
  4. Can I import my existing client data from another EHR?
    • Yes! You don't have to start from scratch. Simple Practice has a robust "Data Map" feature that allows you to upload a CSV file of your current clients, demographic info, and contacts directly into our system. They will also assist with migrating from an existing Simple Practice account into your account with CCS.
  5. Can I use the CCS provided Simple Practice account and Client Portal for my private pay clients and/or clients I bill elsewhere?
    • Yes! This is one of the biggest benefits. You can add non-CCS clients manually as self-pay clients and then utilize the same portal for intake forms, reminders, and telehealth links, creating a streamlined experience for you and your clients.
  6. How much money will I actually save?
    • You save between $49 and $99+ per month by canceling a personal Simple Practice plan. That's $600-$1200 back in your pocket every year.
  7. Does CCS provide tech support for Simple Practice?
    • The CCS team helps with basic onboarding and troubleshooting. For deeper technical issues, you will still have access to Simple Practice’s extensive Help Center and support tickets.
  8. What happens to my Simple Practice data if I leave CCS?
    • You own your clinical data. Simple Practice makes it easy to migrate or export your entire client list, clinical notes, and files into a ZIP folder at any time, ensuring you can transition back to a personal account or another platform without losing your records.
