My application was submitted 90+ days ago. Why am I not in-network?
Unfortunately, once an application is submitted, the timeline is entirely in the hands of the insurance provider's credentialing department.
We actively check in with each carrier on a weekly basis for any applications that were submitted over 90 days ago and request they escalate the application.
Some common reasons we've seen for a delay beyond three months include:
-
The carrier is experiencing a high volume in new provider applications.
-
The carrier may be performing a more deep-dive "primary source verification."
-
Periodic system updates to carrier databases can occasionally slow down the processing of new contracts.
